Sally Azarmi

I joined Azarmi Law as a paralegal in September 2021 following a successful summer internship placement with the firm. I worked closely with Sally Azarmi in the firm’s immigration practice, alongside completing the final year of my law degree at the University of Westminster. On graduating in July 2022 with first class honours, I started working towards the newly launched Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) to become a qualified solicitor.

I have developed my knowledge of immigration and leant about the effects it has on people’s lives through my role at Director of the Refugee Project for ELSA Westminster, where I supervise the ongoing charitable project. Our current aim is to assist refugees recently displaced by the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan. We run a clothing collection and organise English Language classes to help smooth the integration into their new lives.

I have already gained incredible experience at the firm working on asylum applications, skilled worker visas and Citizenship applications. I also assist on the firms contentious matters where I am needed allowing me to develop crucial skills.

My current role is an amazing first step in my career and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
